Location: Donnelly & Taggart, 120-130 Antrim Road, Ballymena
About The Role
The successful candidate will assist with the accurate and timely preparation of accounts in line with company policy and procedures. This will include assisting with the reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts monthly, identifying control weaknesses and taking remedial action when required. You will also provide backup information and support for the accounting team, site director, and other management whilst ensuring that all work completed complies with Group, manufacturer, and industry guidelines.
This is a part-time position, with flexibility in the arrangement of working hours.
Key Duties
- Sales Ledger
- Preparation of daily lodgements
- Reconciliation of sales ledger accounts
- Assisting with credit management
- Preparation of month-end statements
- Purchase Ledger
- Processing of purchase invoices
- Verification/coding of invoices
- Scanning & storage of invoices
- Reconciliation of monthly supplier statements
- Other Duties
- Posting of receipts & payments from the bank account
- Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with ad-hoc duties as and when required
Essential
Person Specification:
- Previous experience within a busy accounts office
- Excellent IT skills, proficient in Excel and other Microsoft packages
- Good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills, able to work unsupervised, and plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines

Desirable
- Previous experience in accounts, using accounts software; Sage, etc.
Full training will be provided on systems & processes to ensure that all work completed complies with Donnelly Group from a Manufacturer & industry guidelines.
