Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in managing accounts payable and other accounting functions. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about finance and eager to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in processing accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely payments to suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using accounting software.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support month-end closing processes by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
- Assist with data entry tasks, ensuring all financial information is accurately recorded.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team as required, including filing and organising documents.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for financial reporting.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Expected hours
21 per week
