Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join our Client Accounting team. You’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of bookkeeping & financial reporting.

You’ll be based out of our Wimborne office, and your focus will be in the following areas:

  • Manage & process all aspects of the bookkeeping requirements for a portfolio of clients. This will include raising and sending demands, maintaining up to date occupant/tenancy details, bank reconciliations, processing supplier payments, including allocation of correct VAT coding, and some monthly reporting.
  • Perform consistently to a high standard.
  • Dealing with any queries from tenants & property managers & presenting solutions in a polite and professional manner.
  • Numerate and accurate, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrates ability to use own initiative where appropriate.
  • Compliance with departmental systems and procedures.
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of client funds.
  • Complies with RICS and other relevant accounting standards.
  • You will be a proactive, organised person who can demonstrate effective communication skills.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work flexibly, providing cover for colleagues when required.
  • Experience in property work a bonus, IT proficient with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word & Excel to perform required tasks.

Team Overview

Savills Client Accounting team provides a high-level service, incorporating all aspects of bookkeeping and financial reporting to a wide variety of clients, as well as in support of other professional and management services provided by Savills across the residential, rural and mixed commercial property sectors. The team comprises 60 people.

The wider Rural division operates across the UK, with a network of 37 offices and a number of estate offices from Inverness in the North to Truro in the South-West.
