Accounts Assistant - West Hampstead - £30,000 - £40,000 DOE
Our client, a well-respected estate agency that have been operating for over 20 years are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their growing team. You will be supporting on the day-to-day accounts responsibilities for a residential portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Process incoming tenant rents, reconciling service charge accounts and ensuring correct funds are allocated to landlords.
- Accounts Payable: Processing, coding, and paying contractor and supplier invoices for property maintenance and repairs.
- Registering tenant deposits with authorized protection schemes and processing release payments at the end of tenancies.
- Reconciliations: Performing weekly or monthly reconciliations for client bank accounts and tenant deposit accounts.
- Monitoring rent arrears, sending follow-up reminders to tenants, and escalating uncollected payments.
- Manage contractor invoices and payments
- Liaise with contractors and leaseholder regarding invoices and payments
- Reviewing VAT returns

Skills And Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years' experience with Xero and Block Management
- Ability to use own initiative
- The ability to work in a team as well as individually
- Confidence to communicate effectively and efficiently

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 9am - 6pm, Fridays finish at 5:30pm, Office Based
