Accounts Associate - Ipswich
About The Role
Ambition is working with one of the UK's top-ten accountancy firms to recruit ambitious and motivated individuals. This is a fully supported, entry-level role. You will be offered a clear pathway towards ACA or ACCA, and you will have the mentorship, coaching, and paid study leave to help you get there.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting with the preparation of statutory and management accounts and maintaining accurate client records
- Supporting colleagues in gathering the information needed to complete tax and VAT returns
- Preparing basic computations for review by senior team members
- Managing your own chargeable time budget, developing commercial awareness from an early stage
- Managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, ensuring all financial data is recorded and reconciled correctly

What We're Looking For
- A motivated individual with a genuine interest in building a long-term career in accountancy
- Strong attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to liaise professionally with clients and external bodies
- Close to finishing the AAT exams, or only a few exams into ACA or ACCA qualification
