[Trainee Client Support - Accountancy]

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join us as a Trainee Client Support. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with prior experience in an accountancy or finance environment, looking to build on existing knowledge while progressing towards their chartered qualification.

  • Supporting the preparation and review of statutory financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to professional guidelines.
  • Assisting with management accounts, including analysis, commentary, and financial forecasting.
  • Providing tax compliance support, including preparing personal and corporate tax returns and meeting deadlines.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships while delivering a high standard of service.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to meet deadlines, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive working culture.

Requirements & Skills

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • Nearly complete ACCA/ACA qualification, or qualified through the AAT (minimum).
  • Work experience in a similar accountancy or finance role.
  • Strong analytical and interpretation skills.

Personal Attributes & Technical Proficiency

  • Personable, with a passion for building and maintaining client relationships.
  • ability to take initiative in adopting technology for workflow efficiency.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office; experience with Xero or hybrid accounting software packages ideal.
