Trainee Client Support – Business Advisory (Colchester)

Key Responsibilities
Our dynamic team offers a fresh, client-focused approach to accountancy. By building on your technical knowledge and strengthening client relations, this role provides opportunities for growth. Key duties include:
- Supporting and reviewing statutory financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with accounting standards.
- Assisting with management accounts, including analysis, commentary, and financial forecasting.
- Contributing to tax compliance, preparing personal and corporate tax returns and meeting deadlines.
- Building and nurturing client relationships for long-term satisfaction.
- Collaborating with colleagues to meet deadlines, share knowledge, and uphold a professional and positive work culture.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential Criteria
We seek candidates with:
- Partway completion of ACCA/ACA qualification or equivalent AAT qualification.
- Experience in an accountancy or finance environment.
- Strong analytical and interpretative skills.
- A personable, outgoing nature with a passion for client relations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, plus experience with Xero and cloud-based accounting software (advant advantageous).
Desirable Traits
- Proven ability to adapt, take initiative, and leverage technology in accountancy workflows.
- Kee duplicative sharp attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude.
