Accounts Associate
The Accounts Associate will support the preparation of accounts, bookkeeping, and compliance work for a range of clients while completing a structured ACCA training programme. This role is ideal for someone beginning their professional accounting career and looking for hands on experience alongside formal qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts preparation. Assist in preparing year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and small limited companies
- Bookkeeping. Maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and reconcile accounts
- VAT returns. Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Client communication. Respond to client queries and request missing information
- Administrative duties — Filing, scanning, organising client documents, and supporting the wider team
- Software use. Work with cloud accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage

Skills & Competencies
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles or willingness to learn
- Confident with Excel and general IT system
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Professional communication and a positive attitude toward learning
- Ability to work well in a small team environment
