Audit & Accounts Senior
Bradford - £40,000 - £48,000 + Hybrid Working + Excellent Career Development
If you're an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior looking for a role where you'll have genuine variety, strong client exposure, and the opportunity to develop your career, this could be the perfect next step.
I'm working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice that is looking to strengthen its team in Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive firm where you'll work closely with managers and partners, take ownership of your own client portfolio, and help develop junior members of the team.
You'll enjoy a varied role across both audit and accounts, working with businesses of all sizes as well as charities, giving you exposure to an interesting and diverse client base.
The Role
As an Audit & Accounts Senior, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and charities.
- Assisting with audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Preparing independent examinations for charity clients.
- Producing draft tax computations and supporting tax compliance work.
- Preparing VAT returns and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
- Liaising directly with clients, building strong working relationships, and responding to queries.
- Reviewing accounts and audit work completed by junior team members.
- Coaching and supporting trainees as they develop their technical skills.
- Managing your own workload to ensure assignments are delivered within budget and deadlines.

About You
To be successful, you'll ideally have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification, or be actively studying towards qualification.
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice in a general practice role.
- Good technical knowledge across both accounts preparation and audit.
- Experience using cloud accounting and practice software such as Xero, CaseWare, Sage, or similar.
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- A proactive attitude and a genuine desire to continue learning and developing.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites when required.
