The Role
As Business Services Manager, you will lead a team involved in accounting and advisory services, driving excellence in client outcomes, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of accountants and support staff
- Oversee accounting, tax, VAT compliance, and financial reporting for multiple clients
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high service standards
- Monitor workflow, control processes, and improve operational efficiency
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to team training

The Ideal Candidate
This role is ideal for an experienced accountant with a background in practice management, eager to step into a leadership position. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
Requirements:
- Qualified through ACCA, ICAS, or an equivalent accounting body
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in general practice
- Proven ability to manage client portfolios and deliver compliance services
- Strong accounting, tax, and VAT skills, with hands-on experience using:
- SAGE Line 50
- XERO
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in coaching and developing junior staff
- Solid knowledge of corporate and personal tax regulations
