Accounts Manager / Accounts Director (Progression plan to Partnership in 2 years)

Accounts Manager required by a growing accountancy practice. In this interesting and varied role you will combine technical expertise, relationship management and team leadership responsibilities.
There is a progression plan to Partnership in place within a realistic timescale of two successful years of service.

The Accounts Manager Role
- Managing and developing a portfolio of audit and charity / not:for:profit clients, acting as a trusted point of contact and building strong long:term relationships.
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting junior team members.
- Reviewing and preparing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, as well as sole traders.
- Preparing and reviewing tax computations and returns (personal and corporate).
- Overseeing VAT return preparation and ensuring compliance.
- Supporting clients with business setup and advisory matters, company incorporations and HMRC registrations.
- Providing proactive business and tax advice to help clients.
- Ensuring all work is in line with internal procedures, standards and regulatory requirements.

The Accounts Manager
- Experience within an accountancy practice at Manager level or equivalent.
- ACA or ACCA qualification or equivalent.
- Experience of preparing and reviewing accounts and tax returns for limited companies and unincorporated businesses.
- Experience with audit and / or charity and / or not:for:profit.
