Accounts Manager / Accounts Director (Progression plan to Partnership in 2 years)

Axminster

A GBP 50,000 to A GBP 65,000 + Regular Salary Review + 25 + 8 Days Holiday + Pension + Death In Service benefit + Health Scheme + EAP + Flexible benefits + Enhanced Maternity and Paternity Scheme + Hybrid / Flexible Working

Accounts Manager required by a growing accountancy practice. In this interesting and varied role you will combine technical expertise, relationship management and team leadership responsibilities.

There is a progression plan to Partnership in place within a realistic timescale of two successful years of service.

The Accounts Manager Role

  • Managing and developing a portfolio of audit and charity / not:for:profit clients, acting as a trusted point of contact and building strong long:term relationships.
  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting junior team members.
  • Reviewing and preparing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, as well as sole traders.
  • Preparing and reviewing tax computations and returns (personal and corporate).
  • Overseeing VAT return preparation and ensuring compliance.
  • Supporting clients with business setup and advisory matters, company incorporations and HMRC registrations.
  • Providing proactive business and tax advice to help clients.
  • Ensuring all work is in line with internal procedures, standards and regulatory requirements.

The Accounts Manager

  • Experience within an accountancy practice at Manager level or equivalent.
  • ACA or ACCA qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience of preparing and reviewing accounts and tax returns for limited companies and unincorporated businesses.
  • Experience with audit and / or charity and / or not:for:profit.
