Are you a results-oriented and self-motivated person with a great passion for excellent results? Then we invite you to apply for the role of ACCOUNTS OFFICER. This role reports to the Accounts Supervisor and it is located in Takoradi.
Job Purpose
The post holder will execute the day-to-day general accounting support function of the branch to ensure it is operating within the guidelines of standard accounting principles.
Key Roles & Accountabilities
- Data entry and ensuring accuracy and integrity of captured data.
- Prepare weekly/monthly Accounts Payable Reports.
- Receive and Process invoices for payments.
- Record payments and track expenses.
- Prepare journal entries for financial transactions.
- Maintain and prepare financial records and statements - Bank Recon etc.
- Apply and adhere to standard accounting principles in making proper assignments and allocations.
- Accurately write cheques and ensure these are documented as required.
- Perform any other work-related duties as assigned by the Accounts Supervisor.
Qualification and Experience
- HND or degree in accounting, finance or other related fields of study.
- A relevant professional qualification or part qualification is a plus.
- Must have worked in a similar position for a minimum of three (3) years.
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Power point and Word).
- Good understanding of corporate finance, accounting and auditing.
- Meticulous and detail oriented.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- High standards of personal integrity and adherence to professional and ethical standards.
