Accounts Payable Team Member

Brighton (Victory House, BN1 4FY)
Hybrid working (1 day per week in the office)
Full time 37.5 hours
Fixed Term Contract – 12 months
Salary from £26,400 per annum DOE plus fantastic Bupa Benefits

As an Accounts Payable Team Member

You’ll be part of our Global Finance Operations team, helping to ensure our suppliers are paid accurately and on time. You’ll play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls, supporting business areas, and identifying opportunities for improvement. It’s a role that combines precision, problem-solving, and collaboration – all essential to making health happen behind the scenes.

How you’ll help us make health happen

In this role, you’ll:

  • Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain supplier records and ensure updates follow governance procedures
  • Ensure payments are made in line with contractual terms and Bupa guidelines
  • Verify documentation and challenge anything that doesn’t meet policy standards
  • Support system and process enhancements with a lean approach
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business
  • Manage your workload to a consistently high standard and collaborate with the wider team
  • Ensure all daily pay run activities are completed accurately and within the required time frame.
  • Ensure all failed, rejected, and stopped payments are remediated
  • Ensure all bank reconciliation enquiries are accounted for prior to month end

Key skills/Qualifications required

We’re looking for someone who’s detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about delivering great service. You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience within an accounts payable role is required
  • Experience working with global currencies
  • Strong numerical skills and the ability to analyse data from multiple sources
  • A meticulous approach and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to change and work under pressure
  • A can-do attitude and desire to improve processes and customer service
  • Confidence in communicating with stakeholders at all levels
  • High energy and enthusiasm
  • A professional telephone manner and strong customer service ethic
