Accounts Payable Analyst - 6 month FTC

Accounts Payable Analyst – Fixed-Term Contract (6 Months)

📍 Location: Glasgow | Hybrid 🕒 Hours: 37.5 hours per week 💰 Salary: £28,000 – £28,500 per annum


We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Analyst to join our Finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional to play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of non-PO invoices across multiple regions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing supplier queries
  • Performing reconciliations
  • Monitoring aged creditors
  • Handling debit balances
  • Ensuring compliance with company controls and financial regulations

You’ll work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, partnering closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and finance colleagues to deliver an exceptional accounts payable service.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Ensure non-PO invoices are processed accurately within agreed service levels
  • Allocate invoice costs correctly using sound accounting knowledge
  • Verify VAT compliance and meet audit requirements
  • Manage and resolve supplier and stakeholder queries to completion
  • Process and manage invoice requests (including ticketing)
  • Perform vendor statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Monitor and address debit balances and aged creditors
  • Collaborate with payments teams for seamless processing
  • Escalate issues, propose effective solutions, and contribute to process improvements

What We’re Looking For

We want an Accounts Payable Analyst with:

  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a sharp eye for detail
  • Top-notch written and verbal communication, including supplier and stakeholder relationship management
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in working to deadlines under pressure
