Accounts Payable / Planning Specialist

About the Role
Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to deliver end-to-end financial and operational support for Key Accounts, covering:
- Accounts Payable (AP) activities
- Budgeting and financial reporting
- Stakeholder management
- Process improvements
- Key Accounts digitisation initiatives
Key Responsibilities
Core Accounts Payable Duties

Own and drive Accounts Payable processes for Key Accounts, including:
- Invoice processing
- Proof of Performance (POP) review
- Timely query resolution

Detail: Open PO Reconciliation
- Reconcile open Purchase Orders (POs), accruals for month/year-end close
- Validate supporting documentation
Budget & Forecasting Control
- Budget ownership for Key Accounts, aligned with OB (Operating Budget) and RF (Resource Forecast):
- Monitor budget variance against targets
- Deliver forecasting analysis and variance follow-ups
- Lead Account Deployment Plans (ADPs) and monthly updates

Reporting & Stakeholder Style

Deliver accurate weekly financial reports, performance insights and monthly updates

Train, coach and support Key Account Managers (KAMs) on:
- POP procedures
- Budgetary requirements
- Financial processes

Stakeholder Liaison:
- Communicate across customers, internal teams and external finance teams
Process Excellence
- Drive efficiency improvements, led by Key Accounts digitalisation project
- Purchase Order Management: maintain SAP/Coupa processes (creation, tracking, closure)
Added Responsibility
- Support business reviews, audits, pricing strategies, vendor setups and launch communications
Skill & Experience Requirements
Technical Proficiency
- Hands-on expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) operations
- SAP or Coupa system navigation
- Advanced Excel proficiency (pivots, formulas, data analysis)

- Strong grasp of financial controls, compliance frameworks and audit standards
Process Ownership
- Track record of appealing process improvements and digital transformation contributions

- Exceptional stakeholder management (cross-departmental, cross-functional)
- Clear, concise communication for both financial and commercial audiences
