About the Role
You’ll join a collaborative, supportive team working towards the efficient operation of the Accounts Payable function. Your role will focus on ensuring timely, accurate supplier payments while maintaining strong financial governance. This is an opportunity to develop professionally in a dynamic environment with growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier purchase invoices accurately and in compliance with internal matching and approval rules, collaborating with departments to ensure timely payments within supplier agreements.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies, liaising with suppliers when necessary.
- Monitor goods received and raise queries for unresolved issues.
- Investigate and resolve supplier invoice-related queries before escalating where required.
- Prepare and review supplier payment schedules, monitor bank accounts, and process payroll and Direct Debit payments.
- Process employee expenses in alignment with current policy, ensuring proper authorisation.
- Assist with end-of-month reconciliations and accruals.
- Collaborate with departments to resolve Purchase Order and invoice discrepancies.
- Support adherence to local standard operating procedures (SOPs) and governance controls.
- Provide ad-hoc assistance to the wider finance team.

Skills & Experience
Experiential:
- Experience in an Accounts Payable environment is desirable but not mandatory
- Strong administrative and organisational capabilities
- Understanding of governance and compliance frameworks
- Basic accounting knowledge (qualifications like ACCA or CIMA are advantageous but not essential)
Technical:
- Proficiency with ERP workflows, invoice processing software, and payment systems
- Strong computer skills for accurate and efficient data management
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Attitude & Values:
