Accounts Payable Administrator – Full Time (Permanent)

Contract Details

  • Type: Full-time, permanent
  • Location: Brighton (Hybrid)
  • Salary: £26,520 per annum

About the Role

Join Study Group, a leading international education provider, within our Accounts Payable team. This key role involves the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and staff expense claims, ensuring seamless payments across our UK, European, Singaporean, and North American offices, while supporting student refunds and commission payments locally and internationally.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Accounts Payable:
    • Accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices onto Agresso
    • Applying the Delegation of Authority policy to route uncoded invoices correctly
    • Processing domestic and international payments for suppliers, homestays, student refunds, and agent commissions
    • Migrating payments from cheques to ACH or wire transfers
    • Reducing urgent payments to support cash flow management
    • Performing monthly statement reconciliations and resolving debit balances
    • Serving as the primary finance contact for allocated suppliers, ensuring timely resolution of daily queries

  • Staff Expenses:

    • Administering staff expenses in line with Delegation of Authority policy
    • Managing correct benefits and VAT treatment
    • Processing staff expenses onto Agresso accurately and punctually
    • Reconciling credit card statements with Agresso AP/control accounts
    • Investigating unidentified transactions and escalating suspected fraud
    • Ensuring efficient processing of cash advance reimbursements
  • Teamwork & Customer Service:

    • Keeping the AP Manager informed on progress and objectives
    • Developing strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers
    • Maintaining accurate, timely records for all stakeholders
    • Upskilling in Study Global, Salesforce, and Finance systems
    • Providing ad-hoc support to the finance team

About You

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • AAT qualification or qualification-in-progress (preferred but not essential)
  • Proven experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service (both internal and external)
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Flexibility, adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to manage workload effectively
