For 30 years we've been independently developing and publishing incredible video games at our multiple studios founded by Jason & Chris Kingsley, but Rebellion is more than just games. We have our own film studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.
Are you a recent graduate, a college leaver, or someone looking to pivot into the world of finance? If you're driven, flexible, enthusiastic about learning, and possess solid Excel skills, this might just be the perfect opportunity for you! We're looking for a motivated individual to join our passionate Finance Team at Rebellion as our new Accounts Payable Assistant. This is a fixed-term contract role for nine months to provide maternity leave cover for the team.
This entry-level role focuses on daily financial tasks and administrative responsibilities, providing valuable hands-on experience and the chance to develop a broad range of finance skills. You'll be supported by a knowledgeable and collaborative team every step of the way.
At Rebellion, our Finance Team manages all accounting functions across the group, covering everything from video games and book publishing to entertainment services and property management. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a solid foundation in finance within a creative and diverse company.
This hybrid role is based at our riverside headquarters in Oxford, offering a creative and relaxed atmosphere where teamwork drives our success. You will be required to work on-site three to four days per week.
Responsibilities:
Accurately code and manage a high volume of invoices from suppliers Handle certain accounts receivable transactions and maintain the corresponding general ledger accounts Request, review, and oversee the approval process for invoices Consistently monitor accounts payable emails, while efficiently communicating with both internal and external stakeholders Process employee expense claims Manage aged creditors to ensure timely payments and address any outstanding issues Process and maintain banking transactions and perform reconciliations of bank accounts Request and reconcile supplier statements on a monthly basis Perform any other ad hoc duties as required

Requirements
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, coupled with strong general IT skills Demonstrable exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational abilities Excellent communication skills, along with a positive and proactive disposition Prior experience in an administrative, data entry, financial assistant, or accounts payable role is advantageous Familiarity with accounting software, particularly NetSuite, is advantageous
