This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Accounts Payable team within a fast-paced, exciting media business. As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and on time while building strong relationships through professional and friendly communication with suppliers. Working as part of a busy, collaborative team, you'll gain valuable hands-on finance experience, managing a high volume of invoices and developing skills that will set you up for a successful career in finance. This fixed-term opportunity is ideal for someone who is organised, has great attention to detail, is eager to learn, and enjoys working in a sociable environment. You'll be joining a company with a fantastic culture, regular social events, and a team that genuinely enjoys working together.
Duties
- Daily posting and allocations of invoices (on to PMI accounts system)
- Weekly BACS runs
- Fortnightly creditor account reconciliations
- Review and cleanup of the creditor ledgers with Payables Manager
- Post down fortnightly bank rec items
- General ad-hoc duties
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic Excel and IT skills
- Experience using Finance system PMI is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills and ability to create working relationships at all levels
- Ability to cope in a busy work environment
- Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
- Attention to detail
- Proactive with enthusiasm to learn
- Reliable and hard working
