What The Hiring Manager Says

GSMA is a global company and will provide the successful candidate with a unique opportunity to work on international financial statements with our HR, Legal, Tax and Compliance teams as well as gain exposure to IFRS and local GAAP accounting. The role reports into the Financial Accounting Manager and supports ensuring a solid control environment is maintained.

This role offers hands-on experience in a global organisation, real responsibility from day one, and the chance to deepen your technical and stakeholder-management skills. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team while being trusted to take ownership, contribute ideas, and help continuously improve how Accounts Payable operates.

About The Team

The Finance team is predominantly based in London with some regional staff and business partners located in Spain, USA, and Shanghai.

About The Role

The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments, supporting day-to-day Accounts Payable operations across multiple entities and currencies. The role requires strong attention to detail, effective stakeholder communication, and adherence to internal controls and payment deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and validate supplier invoices, matching to POs and receipts.
  • Monitor the AP inbox/workflow queues and maintain clear service levels for stakeholder requests.
  • Prepare and run monthly and ad hoc payment runs, including multi-currency payments.
  • Resolve invoice, PO, and payment queries with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Review aged creditors and perform supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Create, monitor, and reconcile virtual card transactions.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and support month-end close activities including balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage supplier onboarding and maintenance (supplier setup, bank details changes, validation checks).
  • Maintain accurate audit-ready records and support process improvements.
  • Contribute to annual audit preparation.
  • Provide general finance support as needed within the wider team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
