Accounts Payable Associate – 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract
Location
Warrington, Cheshire (WA1 6UT) Working hours/days:
- 12:30pm–9:00pm (Monday–Thursday)
- 8:00am–4:30pm (Friday) Freq: 2 days per week in the office
About the Role
As an Accounts Payable Associate, you will be responsible for processing transactions and invoices within the Purchase to Pay (P2P) process, aligning with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and internal procedures. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract role with RS Integrated Supply.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase to Pay (P2P) & Process Improvement
- Organise and manage your workload to meet SLA targets.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders (internal/external) to foster constructive relationships.
- Work with Account Payable Team Leaders/Managers to optimise P2P processes and implement controls.
- Assist in implementing new ICT technology/system upgrades and streamlining operations.
- Help monitor and achieve performance KPIs.
- Identify and propose improvements to working practices & controls.
- Carry out ad hoc duties as requested by your team lead.
Accounts Payable (Day-to-Day Tasks)
- Process invoices, queries, and credit notes – adhering to accounting & performance standards.
- Reconcile supplier statements (volume credits) for key/preferred suppliers.
- Clear GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced) reports.
- Manage manual supplier payments and clear outstanding balances (RSIS activity).
- Investigate & recover debit balances via reconciling ledgers.
- Resolve invoice/PO mismatches and process legal notices.
- Prioritise & address supplier complaints and holds to meet deadlines.
- Ensure timely payments per supplier contract terms.
- Handle supplier queries (verbal/written) within performance standards.

Control & Compliance
- Follow established controls (team/department/RSIS).
- Adhere to statutory regs & RSIS procedures and financial policies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation groups.
- Resolve supplier complaints (both verbal/written) by liaising with relevant teams.

Experience & Expertise
- Proven experience in a high-volume transactional process, preferably within Shared Service.
- Background in maintaining quality standards within a performance-driven culture.
- Knowledge of process/model improvements and SLA protocols.
- Hands-on experience with ERP applications.
