Accounts Payable Clerk – Permanent, Full-Time (Flexible Hybrid) – Glasgow

About the Role
We’re currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk joining the Finance team in Glasgow, operating on a flexible hybrid basis.
The role reports directly to the Accounts Payable Manager and involves core responsibilities to ensure smooth financial processing. Daily duties include:
- Completing new supplier setups (without queries) within 48 hours of receipt.
- Processing invoices, bills, and expenses within 48 hours of receipt.
- Responding to emails in the Accounts Payable inbox with initial replies within 48 hours.
- Notifying suppliers with buyer holds via email within 48 hours of receiving the hold and escalating as needed.
- Matching invoices to Valid Purchase Orders.

Person Specification
We’re looking for an individual who:
- Is ** Methodical** – able to work independently and pays close attention to detail.
- Possesses a good working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and general accounting systems.
- Demonstrates excellent time management, meeting tight deadlines reliably.
- Is approachable, with the ability to manage interactions smoothly across all stakeholder levels.
