We're delighted to be partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in Manchester city centre to recruit an Accounts Payable Manager to lead and develop a team of 5 AP clerks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the AP function and make a genuine impact on a busy finance team. It would suit either an experienced AP Manager, or a senior AP professional with team leader or mentoring experience who is ready to step up into their first management role.
Salary - £40,000 - £50,000

Your core responsibilities in the Accounts Payable Manager role will include:
- Managing, mentoring and developing a team of 5 Accounts Payable Clerks
- Overseeing the end-to-end AP process in a high-volume environment
- Ensuring invoices, payments and supplier accounts are processed accurately and on time
- Managing supplier relationships and resolving queries and escalations
- Driving process improvements and maintaining strong financial controls
- Supporting month-end close and reporting for the AP function
Key Skills Required –
- Proven experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable environment
- A track record of managing or mentoring a team
- Strong ERP and system skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confident, clear communicator with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
