Frontier Economics

Frontier Economics is an economics consultancy that tackles the big questions facing governments, businesses and society. We help our clients to analyse and understand their markets and to formulate strategies based on sound economics. The methods and models we use are often complex, but our advice is always succinct, clear and honest.

The company has grown rapidly since it was founded almost 27 years ago and currently has around 500 staff working across nine European offices (Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Cologne, Dublin, London, Madrid, Paris and Prague). The company is employee-owned and has a strong culture of openness and employee engagement.

6-Month Fixed-Term Contract / 2 Days per Week

The Finance Team is responsible for all accounting and financial operations across the firm. This includes payroll, financial reporting, accounts preparation, invoicing, and supporting strategic decision-making through financial insight. The team works closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure accurate and efficient financial processes.

We are looking for an organised and detail-focused Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance Team on a six-month fixed-term contract, working two days per week. This is a hands-on role supporting the accurate and timely processing of invoices, supplier records, payments and accounts payable queries.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide reliable day-to-day support across our accounts payable processes. You will work closely with colleagues in the Finance Team and across the wider firm to ensure transactions and queries are handled accurately, promptly and professionally.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Process supplier invoices accurately and promptly, ensuring the correct coding, supporting documentation and approvals are in place.
  • Maintain accurate supplier records and support the set-up of new suppliers in Workday.
  • Monitor the Accounts Payable inbox and respond to internal and supplier queries in a helpful and timely manner.
  • Investigate and resolve routine invoice, payment and supplier account queries, escalating more complex issues where appropriate.
  • Prepare supplier statement reconciliations and follow up on outstanding invoices, credits and discrepancies.
  • Support the preparation and processing of payment runs in line with the monthly finance timetable.
  • Maintain clear and complete records to support month-end close, reconciliations, accruals and audit requirements.
  • Work flexibly with Finance colleagues and provide wider administrative or transactional support during busy periods.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
