Accounts Payable Team Leader
Accounts Payable Team Leader
Location: Swindon, UK
Position Summary
Schedule: Late shift (14.00–22.00, Monday–Thursday); 09.00–17.00 Fridays (3 days onsite, 2 days hybrid) Catalent Pharma Solutions is seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Payable Team Leader to support and lead a busy AP team at our expanding Swindon site. In this role, you will:
- Supervise a team of seven Accounts Payable Analysts
- Oversee high-volume AP activities
- Drive performance improvements within a fast-paced Shared Services environment
- Serve as a critical link in managing global transactions between Catalent and its suppliers, ensuring accurate, timely invoice approval and payment

Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day activities within the Financial Shared Service Centre Accounts Payable team
- Oversee site-specific AP processing and drive success in achieving AP key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Act as the first point of escalation for complex invoice processing queries
- Foster strong relationships with global teams and sites
- Lead AP resolution meetings (weekly or bi-weekly)
- Join the senior leadership of the Global Shared Services team, ensuring compliant and timely vendor payments
- Mentor and coach Accounts Payable Analysts, reinforcing adherence to company policies and procedures
- Manage payment controls to ensure compliance with internal requirements
- Take on deputy responsibilities for the AP Team Manager during periods of leave or absence
- Perform additional ad hoc duties as required

Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable processing and supplier payments
- Supervisory or team-leading experience, with a track record of mentoring or training others
- Experience driving process improvements and solutions
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as:
- JD Edwards
- Oracle
- Sage
- SAP
- Great Plains (advantageous)
- Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional diplomatic communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AP software
- Strong written/verbal skills
