Accounts Payable – Mandarin Oriental Mayfair
About the Role
Mandarin Oriental Mayfair is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to join the Finance team, supporting the implementation and maintenance of effective internal controls for income, expenditure, assets, and liabilities across the hotel and residences.
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Supervisor and Management Accountant to ensure smooth financial operations in this prestigious luxury destination.
Key Responsibilities
The Accounts Payable colleague will be responsible for:
- Processing invoices and proceeds payments for suppliers with accuracy and timeliness for goods and services rendered.
- Managing the efficient receipt, processing, and tracking of invoices within the hotel systems.
- Performing monthly statement reconciliations and supplier account reconciliations.
- Ensuring all supplier payments include full supporting documentation (purchase orders, delivery notes, authorisation etc.).
- Maintaining an efficient filing system for invoices, payments, and reports.
- Keeping up-to-date records of all invoices and logs.
- Preparing month-end journals and accruals within deadlines.
- Conducting VAT reconciliations post-month-end.
- Assisting in providing month-end/year-end reporting information as required.
- Managing supplier queries efficiently via telephone.

Ideal Candidate Requirements
The candidate should have: ✔ Proven experience within the hospitality industry, particularly in finance operations. ✔ Strong proficiency in accounting systems, with an advantage if familiar with SUN Systems. ✔ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-detail environment. ✔ A Customer Service orientation—able to engage professionally with all stakeholders, including suppliers.
