Accounts Receivable Analyst – Hybrid Role (4 Days Remote)

Location: Brighton (BN1 4FY) Work Type: Permanent, Hybrid (up to 4 days per week from home) Salary: £24,900 – £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)


About the Role

You’ll be working within our UK support functions, contributing to exceptional customer service and patient care. Whether in Accounts Receivable, sales, or customer relations, you’ll have impactful work that makes a tangible difference every day.


Role Overview

As part of the Finance Operations Department, specifically the Accounts Receivable team, your primary responsibility is ensuring:

  • Accurate, complete, and timely processing of payments
  • Resolution of payment discrepancies, investigations of queries
  • Adherence to internal audit trails and controls
  • Effective communication between departments (both UK and global)

Proactive ownership of key processes while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

Core Tasks

  • Support the time-sensitive Daily Cash Application
  • Investigate, clear, and escalate unreconciled payments held in Transfers Not Applied
  • Ownership of Paystack reconciliation processes
  • Own Direct Debit Failure reports and facilitate Hong Kong Socialist Community Bureaux (HKSCB) Direct Debit (DD) processes
  • Review and resolve Credit Card Failure reports, ensuring accurate balance reconciliation
  • Prioritise and clear the Accounts Receivable inbox to meet service-level agreements (SLAs), collaborating with stakeholders
  • Support bank-level queries, discrepancies, and escalations
  • Colead evidence-gathering for internal audits
  • Clear daily Account Receivable Task List items
  • Collaborate on Worldpay query investigations and data analysis

Requirements & Criteria

Experience & Skills

✔ Experience within Accounts Receivable (ideally in insurance-related finance) ✔ Confidence managing payment allocations, reconciliations, and cash application ✔ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (analysis, cross-referencing, reporting) ✔ Ability to interpret complex data, derive actionable insights, and communicate analysis clearly ✔ Strong problem-solving skills with ownership mindset to resolve issues independently ✔ Organisational rigor to manage workloads, hit tight deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities ✔ High attention to detail and accuracy
