Accounts Receivable Analyst

Hybrid working – up to 4 days per week working from home

Location: Brighton (BN1 4FY)

Salary: £24,900 – £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Standard Hours: 37.5 hours per week, full-time

About the Role

Based within the Finance Operations Department of the Accounts Receivable team, you’ll support both UK and global departments by ensuring the accurate, complete, and timely processing of payments. You’ll handle administrative tasks, resolve disputes, support colleagues, and maintain clear records and audit trails while upholding strict controls.

Your work will directly impact customers, ensuring their trust, prompt resolutions, and optimal care—all crucial to Bupa’s reputation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day financial processing:

    • Support the time-sensitive daily cash application process
    • Investigate and clear transfers that remain unapplied
    • Process proposals in Paystack (account reconciliation ownership)
    • Oversee direct debit failures and support colleagues with HKSCB direct debit procedures
  • Troubleshooting and support:

    • Action and resolve credit card failure reports to reflect correct balances
    • Prioritise the SLAs for the Accounts Receivable inbox, working with stakeholders and vendors to implement solutions
    • Handle bank queries, investigations, and escalations

What You’ll Bring

Essential Criteria:

✅ Experience within accounts receivable or related financial roles in the insurance sector (or equivalent in a commercial sphere) ✅ Proficiency with payment allocations, reconciliations, and reconciliations processes ✅ Sound, practical Microsoft Excel skills, and the ability to read, analyse, and extract meaningful insights from complex data. ✅ Strong ability to interpret financial trends, communicate findings, and present findings effectively ✅ High organisational skills with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and tight deadlines ✅ Exceptional concentration and accuracy in processing-stage checks and manual investigations ✅ Self-sufficiency in taking ownership of problems to ensure permanent resolution ✅ Strong interpersonal and stakeholder communication in a fast-paced environment
