Are you experienced in finance administration and payment processing? Do you have strong Excel skills and a keen eye for detail? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy is essential? If you've answered yes, then you could be the right person to join our Accounts Receivable team in our Kings Hill office, ME19 4UA!
What you can expect as an Accounts Receivable Assistant:
- Salary: £25,500
- Position Type: Permanent
- Hybrid Office role: 1 day per week minimum from our Kings Hill office, ME19 4UA.

You’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative finance team where your contribution plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile high-volume customer payments accurately within strict SLAs.
- Ensure all transactions meet SOX, Audit and FCA compliance requirements.
- Investigate and resolve payment queries, unidentified income and reconciliation issues.
- Produce regular Excel-based reports and financial analysis.
- Prepare income journals and manage associated reconciliations within Workday.
- Process customer refunds and support supplier commission payments.
- Maintain and improve finance processes, controls and procedures.
- Collaborate with the wider Finance team to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.

We are looking for someone with:
- An interest in finance, accounting or developing a long-term career within Financial Operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate queries and identify effective solutions.
- Excellent Excel skills, including experience using formulas, VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.
- A keen eye for detail with a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines and maintain accuracy under pressure.
- A proactive, flexible and positive approach, with a willingness to learn and support the wider team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
