Finance Operations AR Assistant
Sector: Media Agency Location: London Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days per week in office, flexible Salary: £29,000 Ref: VFR 3304
VisionFR is delighted to be recruiting for a Finance Operations AR Assistant on behalf of a successful and growing creative business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative finance team during an exciting period of growth.
About the Role
As Finance Operations AR Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, ensuring smooth running of accounts receivable activities while also assisting with wider finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the Accounts Receivable inbox on a daily basis.
- Preparing and issuing monthly customer statements.
- Processing customer billing, ensuring internal approvals are obtained and invoices are issued within agreed deadlines.
- Proactively managing credit control to ensure timely receipt of payments.
- Allocating customer receipts accurately on a daily basis.
- Resolving customer billing queries promptly and professionally.
- Monitoring unbilled revenue throughout the month, ensuring billing deadlines are met.
- Supporting Accounts Payable processes.
- Providing finance and operational teams with support on financial queries, systems, and workflow processes.

Requirements & Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- At least one year’s experience in an Accounts Receivable or finance assistant role.
- A good understanding of core accounting principles.
- A degree or other relevant higher education qualification (desirable).
- Basic to intermediate Excel skills, with confidence using finance systems.
- Exceptional organisational skills, able to prioritise efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to take ownership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong working relationships across the business.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- An interest in improving processes and embracing new technology.
- A reliable, self-motivated and flexible approach to work.
