Accounts Receivable / Credit Control Specialist Design Studios Temp to perm, 6 months contract Full time in the London office
Looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable & Credit Control Specialist to manage billing, WIP, and collections across a portfolio of high value design projects. This role is focused on low volume, high value contracts where accurate project billing, strong stakeholder management, and proactive cash collection are critical.
Key Responsibilities Manage project billing in line with contract milestones, applications for payment, and agreed payment schedules. Monitor and manage Work-in-Progress (WIP), ensuring timely conversion of completed work into invoiced revenue. Track project variations, change orders, and additional works to ensure all billable revenue is captured. Work closely with Project Managers and Commercial teams to validate project progress and billing opportunities. Take ownership of the debtor ledger and proactively collect outstanding payments. Resolve invoice queries and payment disputes with clients and internal stakeholders. Produce debtor ageing, WIP, and cash collection reports. Support cash flow forecasting and month end revenue reporting.

About You Proven experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or Project Billing. Experience within construction, fit-out, design, engineering, or project-based businesses. Strong understanding of WIP management and milestone-based billing. Commercially minded with excellent communication and relationship management skills. Highly organised, detail oriented, and confident working with senior stakeholders.
