Accounts Receivable Executive (French or German Speaking)
Location: Watford (Office Based)
Salary: Up to £40,000
Start Date: ASAP
A successful international business is seeking an Accounts Receivable Executive to join its finance team in Watford. This is a great opportunity for someone with Accounts Receivable or Credit Control experience to manage customer accounts across the UK and Europe while supporting cash collection and sales ledger activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the sales ledger, ensuring customer accounts are accurate.
- Allocate payments, reconcile accounts, and investigate discrepancies.
- Chase outstanding invoices and support effective credit control.
- Produce aged debt reports and monitor collection performance.
- Work with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams to resolve invoice queries and disputes.
- Process invoices and credit notes accurately and on time.
- Support UK and European customer accounts, including multi-currency transactions.
- Assist with month-end activities and cash flow forecasting.

About You

- Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, Sales Ledger, or Credit Control.
- AAT qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA.
- Strong reconciliation, communication, and organisational skills.
- Able to build relationships and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Desirable
- Experience within FMCG, wholesale, retail, fashion, or distribution environments.
- Knowledge of VAT and European trading procedures.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Sage 200, Dynamics, or Xero.
- French or German language skills are essential
