Role Description
The Accounts Receivable Team Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Durham. This position oversees the accounts receivable function, including managing invoicing, payment allocation, and monitoring outstanding balances. The role involves leading and mentoring the accounts receivable team, setting priorities, and ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures. The Team Lead will handle escalated debt collection activities, resolve complex account queries, and collaborate with internal departments to improve billing and collection processes. Qualifications
- Strong Finance and Accounting skills to oversee accounts receivable activities and support accurate financial reporting.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends in aged debt, and recommend process improvements.
- Effective Communication skills to manage stakeholder relationships, resolve queries, and lead a finance team.
- Proven Debt Collection experience to manage overdue accounts, negotiate payment arrangements, and reduce bad debt.
- Previous experience in accounts receivable or credit control, preferably in a team lead or supervisory capacity.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Relevant financial or accounting qualification (e.g., AAT or similar) is desirable but not essential.
