About the Role

As an Accounts Semi-Senior, you will support the accounts team in preparing financial statements, tax returns, and management accounts for a portfolio of clients. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth within a dynamic and supportive environment, allowing you to develop your skills and advance in accountancy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent Xeinadin to clients, ensuring day-to-day tasks are completed with a focus on excellence, innovation, and future-oriented solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing professional advice and maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Ensure all accounts work is completed to the highest standard, meeting deadlines and adhering to technical and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to deliver client work within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Contribute to team efficiency and workflow improvements, enhancing business and client engagement.
  • Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) to maintain and updating technical knowledge.
  • Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Assist with corporation tax and VAT return preparation.
  • Prepare financial accounts for clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Handle personal and corporation tax computations as part of account preparation.
  • Support audit engagements, including fieldwork, and work alongside senior team members.
  • Mentor and train junior team members, fostering skill development.

Key Requirements

  • Partial or full AAT/ACA/ACCA qualification, or equivalent qualification (or actively working towards it).
  • Previous experience in an accountancy practice.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain client/colleague relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills, managing multiple tasks against deadlines.
  • Precision with attention to detail and a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of client needs, delivering professional service.
  • A self-motivated, dependable team player with minimal supervision needed.
  • Demonstrates high confidentiality standards and adheres to professional ethics.
