TPF Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a well-established and forward-thinking firm of Chartered Accountants in Wokingham with their search for an Accounts Semi-Senior or Accounts Senior to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a modern, people-focused practice. Whether you're an experienced Semi-Senior working towards your professional qualifications or an established Accounts Senior, you'll join a collaborative team where you'll work closely with a varied portfolio of clients, gain exposure to interesting assignments, and receive ongoing support for your professional development.

The Role As an Accounts Semi-Senior or Senior, you'll be responsible for supporting a diverse client base, ranging from owner-managed businesses to growing SMEs. Depending on your level of experience, you'll take ownership of your own portfolio while working alongside Managers and Partners to deliver a high-quality service. Key responsibilities include: Preparing statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients. Producing corporation tax returns, VAT returns and, where required, personal tax returns. Assisting clients with bookkeeping and cloud accounting software queries. Building strong relationships with clients and becoming a trusted point of contact. Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value to clients' businesses. Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure assignments are delivered accurately and within agreed deadlines. Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate. Keeping technical knowledge up to date through ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements The successful candidate will ideally have: Current or recent experience working within a UK accountancy practice. ACA or ACCA qualification, or be actively studying towards either qualification (qualified by experience candidates will also be considered). Experience preparing accounts for a range of business entities. Good working knowledge of accounting software, with cloud accounting experience beneficial. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. A proactive and personable approach, with the confidence to build lasting client relationships. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Exposure to payroll or company secretarial work would be advantageous but is not essential.

Benefits Salary of approximately £30,000 - £45,000, depending on experience and qualification level. Study support for ACA or ACCA where applicable.
