Role Description
I'm working with a well-established accountancy practice that is looking to appoint an Associate Accountant to join its growing team.
Working alongside an experienced Relationship Manager, you'll support a varied portfolio of clients across all areas of general practice, including accounts, tax, payroll, VAT, bookkeeping, and management accounts, while building strong client relationships and delivering a high standard of service.

What you'll do
- Prepare annual accounts, personal and business tax returns, management accounts, VAT returns, payroll, and bookkeeping.
- Communicate directly with clients to obtain information and support ongoing relationships.
- Ensure client work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within commercial timescales.
- Complete VAT and PAYE registrations, bookkeeping software setups, and maintain accurate client records.

What you'll need
- AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
- Experience preparing accounts, tax returns, VAT returns, payroll, or bookkeeping.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
