About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Senior to join a well-established and growing South-West based accountancy practice on a full-time, permanent basis.
As the Accounts Senior, you will:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services
- Support and develop junior team members
- Work closely with Managers and Partners to ensure assignments are completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed deadlines
This role offers exposure to a broad range of clients and responsibilities, making it ideal for an ambitious practice professional looking to further develop their technical expertise and client management skills.

Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio
- Complete personal and corporate tax returns accurately and efficiently
- Assist with the preparation of management accounts and financial reporting
- Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and provide support
- Support tax compliance work and assist with HMRC-related matters
- Review work completed by junior team members and provide guidance
- Deliver software support and training to clients where required
- Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines and client expectations

Requirements
- AAT qualified or qualified through relevant practice experience
- Strong background in accounts preparation within an accountancy practice
- Good working knowledge of personal and corporate tax
- Experience using software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build client relationships
- Previous experience in supporting or mentoring junior team members would be advantageous
- Exposure to charity clients would be beneficial but is not essential
