Accounts Senior – chartered accountant practice in Salisbury

About the Role

TPF Recruitment are representing a progressive and highly regarded firm of chartered accountants in Salisbury, seeking to recruit an Accounts Senior to expand their Accounts & Business Services team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to:

  • Manage a diverse client base
  • Develop technical expertise
  • Build a long-term career within a supportive and ambitious practice

Responsibilities

As an Accounts Senior, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services to clients. Key duties include:

  • Preparing annual financial statements for:
    • Limited companies
    • Partnerships
    • Sole traders
    • Trusts
  • Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing guidance
  • Supporting with:
    • Management accounts
    • VAT returns
    • Other business support services
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, developing strong relationships and responding efficiently to queries
  • Collaborating closely with managers and partners to assist with complex assignments and projects

Requirements

We are seeking a candidate who:

  • Is ACA/ACCA qualified (or studying towards qualification) or qualified by experience
  • Has prior experience in general practice, specifically in:
    • Preparing statutory accounts
    • Tax returns
  • Demonstrates proficiency in:
    • Computerised accounting packages
    • Cloud-based systems
  • Exhibits strong:
    • Attention to detail
    • Problem-solving skills
    • Commercial awareness
  • Enjoys working as part of a collaborative team, including supporting junior colleagues
  • Is eager to progress within a forward-thinking firm offering clear career advancement opportunities
