Accounts Senior – Truro, Cornwall

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum

Our client, a leading South West-based Accountancy Practice, is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join their highly regarded Business Advisory team. This opportunity offers flexible hybrid working and the chance to work with a diverse client portfolio across a range of sectors.

As a Senior within the Business Advisory team, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting services, preparing financial information, and providing valuable insight to support clients in achieving their goals. This is a hands-on role offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to develop strong client relationships while expanding your technical expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate accounts and financial information for a diverse client portfolio
  • Produce management accounts, forecasts, and financial reports to support clients
  • Assist with tax compliance (personal, company, and VAT returns)
  • Deliver bookkeeping services, including reconciliations and financial record maintenance
  • Manage workloads effectively while ensuring deadlines and budgets are achieved
  • Analyse financial data to provide insights and support business decisions
  • Build strong client relationships and collaborate with internal teams
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members while resolving technical queries

Requirements

  • AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualified, or part-qualified with relevant practice experience
  • Strong background in accountancy practice with a broad understanding of client services
  • Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Office packages
  • Organised and self-motivated with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Professional, approachable, and confident in working collaboratively with clients and colleagues
