About The Accounts Senior Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Senior in our Dudley Office.
As an Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for preparing accounts for a varied portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounts and tax services while ensuring compliance with relevant standards. You’ll act as a key point of contact for clients, supporting them with queries and building strong working relationships.
Key responsibilities of an Accounts Senior will include:
Preparation of statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses Preparation of draft corporation tax computations and supporting schedules, with an understanding of tax compliance requirements, supervision provided Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact to gather information and resolve queries Managing your own workload to meet deadlines, ensuring work is delivered accurately and efficiently Supporting junior team members, contributing to their development and maintaining a collaborative team environment Assisting with personal tax returns and working closely with managers and partners to deliver a high-quality client service

About You
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
A minimum of 3+ years’ experience working within an accountancy practice environment ACA or ACCA qualified or finalist level Experience using accounting software such as CCH, Sage, and Xero, with a strong overall understanding of practice systems A solid understanding of practice accounting, with the ability to apply technical knowledge in day-to-day work Strong communication skills, with experience of regular client interaction via phone, email, and in person Well organised and detail-oriented, able to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines A proactive and motivated approach, with a genuine desire to progress and develop within the role Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity
