Accounts Senior | Blackpool | Onsite Based | £35k per Annum
An opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountancy professional to join a well-established, progressive practice in Blackpool. Now hiring a Chartered Accountant (or equivalent qualification) for a client-facing, account-management role.
Role Overview
A forward-thinking firm seeks an Accounts Senior with ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification/experience to oversee client accounts while delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services. You’ll lead a diverse client portfolio and be a key point of contact for business owners—balancing precision with client-centric support.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing statutory financial statements for:
- Limited companies
- Partnerships
- Sole traders
- Completing corporation tax returns and associated computations with technical accuracy
- Maintaining professional client relationships through proactive communication
- Supporting senior management with:
- Advisory projects
- Practice growth initiatives
- Reviewing and supervising junior team members’ work
- Ensuring compliance, timeliness, and adherence to tax/regulatory frameworks
- Meeting multiple deadlines while maintaining high standards

About You
To excel in this role, you must:
- Hold (or be on track for) a qualified professional accountancy accreditation (ACA/ACCA*), or possess at least equivalent practice experience (QBE), up to five years.
- Have proven experience within an accountancy practice environment—handling client work, tax filings, and project management.
- Master technical knowledge of:
- Financial statement preparation
- Tax compliance (especially Corporation Tax)
- Demonstrate interpersonal confidence with ability to:
- Build and sustain strong relationships with clients
- Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with team/supervisors/clients
- Showcase a disciplined work ethic, able to delegate smartly to junior staff while meeting ABCAS deadlines.
- Prefer a structured but flexible role—proactively taking on advisory work.
- Take responsibility for sustained growth: prepare for long-term career steps with an established firm.
