Location: Letchworth Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours/week Working arrangement: Hybrid (flexible between office and home) Holidays: 22 days (increasing to 25 days after 5 years', including bank holidays)


About The Accounts Senior Role

We are looking for a **dedicated Accounts Senior to join our team in Letchworth.

We seek candidates who are:

  • AAT qualified, or currently ACA/ACCA part-qualified
  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice

As an Accounts Senior, you will primarily focus on accounts preparation, while working across a diverse client portfolio. This role provides opportunities to:

  • Develop your technical expertise
  • Collaborate closely with senior colleagues and partners

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of statutory accounts for owner-managed businesses
  • Drafting corporation tax computations (under supervision)
  • Liaison with clients to gather information and resolve queries
  • Compliance with accounting standards and deadlines
  • Assisting with personal tax return preparation
  • Supporting junior staff and contributing to a collaborative team environment

About You

To excel in this role, we require:

  • 2–3 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice
  • Currently studying, or **willingness to study, for ACA/ACCA (preferred)
  • Experience in accounts preparation
  • Attention to detail and strong organisation skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
  • Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn
