Experience within the media, entertainment or creative industries is not required.

About the Opportunity

A fast-growing, specialist advisory firm is looking to appoint a Senior Associate to join its expanding team supporting clients across the UK creative industries sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified practice-trained accountant or auditor who enjoys client interaction, problem solving and ownership of work, but is looking to move away from traditional audit and compliance-heavy environments.

The business has doubled in size year-on-year for the past three years and has built a reputation as a market-leading specialist within the film, television and video games sectors. The team works with some of the industry's most recognisable producers, creators and entertainment businesses, helping them access valuable tax incentives and funding support.

With a team of just five specialists, new joiners gain exposure to high-value work and client relationships far earlier than would typically be possible within a larger accountancy firm.

The Role

Working directly with Senior Managers, Directors and Partners, you will advise clients on creative sector tax incentive claims and related advisory projects.

This is not a traditional accounting role. While a strong grounding in audit, accounts preparation and technical accounting is essential, the work is highly consultative and investigative in nature.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
