Haslers is a 10 partner, full-service firm of Chartered Accountants, operating from its own offices in Loughton. The firm was established over 70 years ago and has remained independent over the years mostly growing organically.
The firm’s diverse clientele spans a multitude of sectors, with a particular focus on serving owner-managed businesses and their entrepreneur owners. Additionally, Haslers expertly caters to UK subsidiaries of large international groups.
Job Summary
We require an Accounts Senior to join our Business Services Group (BSG), undertaking general accountancy work for a variety of clients in different sectors.

Core Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts for a range of entities, including limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, LLPs, charities, and groups.
- Prepare and review VAT returns, bookkeeping assignments, and management accounts.
- Ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Clear review points, post adjustments, and produce high-quality final files with minimal outstanding queries.
- Involvement in the outsource function including sending jobs to outsource, dealing with queries and initial review from outsource.
- Maintain accurate and timely time recording and complete timesheets using CCH.
- Supervising the team to ensure they produce high quality work, are motivated to achieve high standards and that end of job feedback is carried out for the team.
- Providing timely updates to managers and partners on issues identified with clients
- To liaise with Tax Department and deal with any queries raised.
- Ensure compliance with CPD policies and procedures
- To be aware of developments concerning client affairs and to identify opportunities to provide additional services to clients.
- Other tasks as reasonably required to ensure the smooth running of the job/department

Entry Requirements
We require a candidate who is ideally fully AAT qualified or QBE. The successful candidate should have experience dealing with the above areas. We also require the successful candidate to demonstrate strong attention to detail, organisational skills and able to balance deadlines. In addition, candidates must have strong communication skills and be confident using IT.
Additionally, it would be useful, though not essential, for the successful candidate to hold a valid UK driving licence as there may be the need for visits to client premises on occasion. Though the role is ideally full-time, we would look at candidate of a part-time nature.
