Role Description

The Accounts Senior/Semi-senior will support a portfolio of growing business clients with high-quality accounting, reporting, and advisory services.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial accounts
  • Assist with tax and compliance work
  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Support the production of meaningful reports and analysis
  • Regular communication with clients to ensure they receive the necessary support and advice
  • Work as part of the team, including training and developing junior members

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Northampton.


Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to:
    • Interpret financial data
    • Produce clear, insightful reporting
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain financial concepts in a straightforward, client-friendly manner
  • Solid finance knowledge, with:
    • Experience in management accounts
    • Tax and compliance responsibilities
    • General accounting principles
  • Strong client-facing skills emphasising:
    • Building trust
    • Managing expectations
    • Prompt responsiveness
  • Effective account management skills, including:
    • Managing a client portfolio
    • Prioritising workloads
    • Meeting deadlines
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA) recommended or progressing toward qualification is beneficial
  • Proficiency with:
    • Accounting software
    • Excel
  • Comfort with cloud-based systems
  • Ability to work:
    • Collaboratively within a small team
    • Adapt to needs of growing businesses
