Accounts & Tax Manager
Chatham, Kent
£50,000 – £60,000 per annum

TPF Recruitment is supporting a really lovely independent accountancy practice based in Chatham, who are looking to recruit an Accounts & Tax Manager to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, well established firm that genuinely values its staff and offers a relaxed, supportive working environment alongside an excellent client base. The position is open to both full time and part time candidates, making it a great opportunity for someone looking for flexibility alongside a varied and rewarding role.
The Role
You will work closely with the Directors and manage a portfolio of mainly owner managed business clients across a broad range of industries. The role will be a mix of accounts, tax and client management work, with the opportunity to get involved in supporting and mentoring junior members of staff.

Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of clients
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax and personal tax returns
- Advising clients on general accounting and tax matters
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Assisting the Directors with ad hoc projects and practice development work

Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
- Strong background within an accountancy practice environment
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Good knowledge of accounts and tax compliance work
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Organised, personable and able to work independently
