Accounts & Tax Manager – Future Partner Opportunity
Location: Sevenoaks, Kent
This is a fantastic opportunity for a general practice Accounts & Tax Manager to join a reputable firm of chartered accountants, with a clear succession plan and future partner progression on offer.
You’ll be joining at Manager to Director level, with exciting developmental opportunities based on your experience and career aspirations. This is a rare and exciting opportunity in Sevenoaks, Kent.
About the Role
As part of this position, you will:
- Work closely with Partners and manage your own client portfolio, including a small team.
- Focus on general practice accounts & tax services for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, primarily owner-managed businesses with turnovers up to £100m.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing client portfolios: Overseeing sole traders, partnerships, and FTLT companies.
- Financial services: Reviewing and producing:
- Company accounts
- Financial statements
- Corporation tax returns
- Personal tax returns
- Relationship management: Building strong collaborations across teams and ensuring trusted partnerships with clients.
- Stakeholder liaison: Regular client engagement to maintain strong working relationships.
- Efficiency & delivery: Ensuring timely and seamless service provision.
- Business support: Contributing to the smooth operation of the firm, working alongside Partners.
- Opportunities for growth:
- Involvement in business development and marketing.
- Potential participation in audit work (if of interest).

Requirements
- Qualified or experienced alternative: Ideally an ACA/ACCA, or equivalent via experience.
- Industry experience: 5–10+ years in an accountancy practice, specialising in:
- Accounts preparation
- Tax returns
- Technical competency: Familiarity with:
- QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage (advantageous).

- Salary range: £65,000 – £85,000 (dependent on experience/b\otimes candidate, negotiable).
