Tax & Accounts Senior
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tax & Accounts Senior to join a highly regarded and growing chartered accountancy practice with an excellent reputation across the South East.
This role offers an excellent balance of tax, accounts, and client advisory work, making it ideal for someone looking to progress beyond compliance and build a long term career within a supportive and ambitious firm. Working closely with Managers and Partners, you'll gain exposure to a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses, SMEs, and high net worth individuals while continuing to develop your technical and commercial expertise.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior who is looking for a clear pathway into management. The firm is committed to investing in its people, with genuine opportunities to progress through Manager, Associate Director, and ultimately Director or Partner level.
Key Responsibilities
Tax & Advisory
- Prepare and review personal and corporate tax returns.
- Support a wide range of tax advisory projects, including remuneration planning, business restructuring, and shareholder planning.
- Liaise with HMRC regarding enquiries and technical matters.
- Identify tax planning opportunities for clients.

Accounts & Client Service
- Prepare and review statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
- Support cloud accounting and bookkeeping solutions.
- Build strong client relationships and respond to day-to-day queries.
- Assist with the management of client deadlines and workflow.
Team Development
- Support and mentor junior members of the team.
- Assist Managers with reviewing work and maintaining technical standards.
- Contribute to process improvements across the department.
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, CTA, or qualified by experience.
- Strong accountancy practice background across tax and accounts.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Ambitious and motivated to progress into management.
Benefits
- £40,000 to £50,000 depending on experience.
