Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Tax
- Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
- Prepare corporation tax returns, self-assessment, and partnership tax returns.
- Prepare and review VAT returns and MTD returns.
- Support clients with bookkeeping and cloud accounting software.
Client Interaction & Compliance
- Liaise directly with clients to request information and resolve queries.
- Liaise with HMRC regarding client matters and enquiries.
- Ensure accurate records are maintained and deadlines are met.
- Build strong relationships with clients through a professional and responsive service.

General Support
- Assist with administrative and ad-hoc tasks as required to support the wider team.
Skills & Attributes
- AAT Level 4 qualified, part-qualified ACCA/ACA, or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
- Experience working within an accountancy practice is essential, with a minimum of two years' experience preferred.
- Candidates should be comfortable preparing accounts and tax returns with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with a professional and friendly manner.
- Experience in a client-facing role.
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload supported by the wider team.
- Good IT skills and familiarity with cloud accounting software. Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, TaxCalc, etc., is an advantage.
