Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (Full-time)

We’re not looking for someone who just ticks boxes—they’re for someone who cares. Someone who takes ownership, holds themselves to the highest standards, and genuinely wants to ensure that every prescription dispensed leaves our pharmacy right for the patient. If this sounds like you, keep reading.

What is the role?

You’ll be the trusted, central figure in our pharmacy operation at the Winnersh site—the person the team depends on to ensure every medicine that leaves our pharmacy is accurate, safe, and compliant.

This isn’t about micromanaged tasks—it’s about trust, accountability, and leadership. You’ll be expected to initiate improvements, spot risks before they become incidents, and raise the standard for the entire team. Your actions will shape a culture where quality is non-negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accuracy Checking: Perform rigorous accuracy checks on dispensed medicines, ensuring full compliance with legal, operational, and safety standards.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Take full responsibility for the entire prescription process, not just your assigned tasks.
  • Record Maintaining & Escalation: Keep clear, accurate prescription records and immediately escalate discrepancies without hesitation.
  • Mentoring & Team Culture: Actively mentor junior colleagues and help foster a high-accountability, safety-first team culture.
  • Professional Development: Stay ahead of regulatory updates, best practices, and industry changes—because you’ll be proactive, not reactive.
  • Collaborative Pace: Work efficiently and purposefully alongside the broader pharmacy team to ensure all patients receive the correct treatment, on time.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
